Have you seen Jodie Hilton's blog? It's a great collection of interiors, lifestyle, interviews, handy hints and loads of other fun stuff.
I was really excited when Jodie asked to interview little ol' me for her blog! Jodie visited the Etsy popup in Sydney last December, and saw my work as part of the store.
And now, the interview is live - eep! It's a bit strange reading your own words online, or in print... I always think "Oh why did I say that??"
You can go and read, and see the true extent of dagginess that is me... Yes, I really was a U2 fan... Sad I know...

curated by Etsy Australia and New Zealand on Etsy
We were lucky to be featured in this gorgeous list of Etsy Australia and New Zealand sellers, titled "Autumn Homewares". Talk about forward planning!
Goggles' planning is well underway for this New Year. We're trying really hard to be a bit more strategic and a little less fly-by-the-seat-of-our-pants!
We're using some great on-line planning tools to do this...
And trying to look ahead and plan new products to release at a relevant time.
Last year was so wonderfully FULL of amazing opportunities, that weren't really planned as such. I felt a little like we had to react quickly to things instead of being more in control of our development...
So this year, we're trying a different tack...
Cheers to the New Year, and new ideas!

Mr Fixit and I have finally landed after a MAMMOTH week of markets. PHEW!
... and Christmas is only 2 weeks away!! Eep!
Our last market for 2013 will be at the Coledale Twilight Markets, on Sunday 22 December.
It's a great place to pick up last minute gifts, right before the big day.
We have a few of our Justinia board games left from our first-ever print run. They are such a fantastic after-Christmas-lunch-game, your family will enjoy hours of screen-free bonding!
These special crocheted fruit netting vessels ($28) will also be making their way onto our market stall... Perfect for eggs, fruit, soaps, endless possibilities! They are machine washable too (on a gentle cycle) and so easy to brighten up any room.

An egg dying afternoon (with lunch) at a friend's house, one Easter
Crafting essentials - tea and crochet
There's a give-away over at Che and Fidel, and to enter, you had to describe how crafting nurtures your creative self... It made me stop and think exactly what it is about making that keeps me engaged, fulfilled and happy.
This is what I wrote:
"craft is something that passes on, person to person... it's a skill that should move through people and be shared. Experimented with and transformed. The act of making is an act of connecting, with yourself, with others, with your community. It's not just about the thing that is made, it's also about communication. That's how it nurtures not only the self, but our society and our communities."
A group exhibition I saw a couple of years ago, at Craft Victoria,
showcasing the results of a sculpture workshop, using bread!
My local market, where I meet stacks of people and talk all day!
It's the group activity thing that really floats my boat when I craft. The solo gig is all fine and dandy, but really, when I get together with a bunch of people and make things, chat, drink tea and eat cake, I'm happy as a pig in mud!
The quilt made by my craft group as a going away present for one of our gang.
Crocheted Monkey I made for Meet Me At Mike's Softies for Mirabel project.
I love being a part of this big, crazy family of people who make stuff. It gives so much in return, and I truly think it's the way forward for humans.
So there's my rant for this Thursday afternoon! What's yours?
